Foundations III


Join our 3-week comprehensive webinars designed to help you create a solid foundation as you grow your business and prepare for access to capital.

• Understand the basics of Business Financials, begin to track income and expenses and learn to create an Income Statement
• Stay compliant and organize important business documents in one comprehensive Business Financial Organizer
• Learn about different types of capital, impacts of personal and business financials, and access to subject matter experts through 1:1 counseling

Each session will be held virtually beginning at 11:00am – 12:30pm on Tuesday May 6, May 13, and May 20. The link to each session will be provided 24 hours beforehand via email. Sessions will not be recorded or available for playback, so please plan to attend all three weekly sessions.

Requirements:

• 1 year of business tax
• Business registration with DCCA
• Commit to attending (3) virtual sessions live

Weekly class focus:

• May 6 – Business Organization: Build your Business Records Binder to keep important documents in one place. Learn the importance of keeping clean and separate personal and business financial records. Have everything in order and ready to meet with funders

• May 13 – high level overview of business financials: understanding importance of good bookkeeping, purpose of income statement, balance sheet, cashflow statement. Begin to create your income and expense worksheet.

• May 20 – Personal & Business Finance: high level overview of importance of having good personal finance and role it plays in building and financing business. Receive resources on getting out of debt and monitoring credit scores.
