Mariko was a pioneer on Wall Street, one of a handful of women of color who founded an institutional money management firm in 1995. At one point, she was responsible for managing $2.5B for large public and corporate pension funds, endowments, and foundations. She was featured in the Wall Street Journal, Barron's, books on value investing, and spoke at the Ira Sohn Investment conference before an audience of 5,000 at Avery Fisher Hall. Mariko managed a concentrated portfolio of U.S. small-cap stocks while running a small business and raising a family. Today she mentors business owners and provides money management and financial planning services to individuals.

Prior to founding Kimberly Jones, CPA, she served as a tax principal and tax practice leader at Accuity, LLP one of the largest accounting firms in the state of Hawai’i. Additionally, Kim was formerly a Tax Manager in the Hawai’i office of big four accounting firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers. With a deep and diverse tax background, Kim has a passion for building long-term professional relationships where she can bring value as a trusted advisor. Kim has extensive tax experience in the areas of individual, trust, estate, corporate, partnership and non-profit taxation.
