Doug Okamura

Doug Okamura founded Strategic CFO Solutions in January 2024, following over 20 years in the banking and finance industry. His experience spans eight years in the restaurant industry and thirteen years in banking, where he supported small businesses with their financial operations. Inspired by his wife’s entrepreneurial success with La Posh Hawaii in 2022, Doug launched his own company, offering fractional CFO services, bookkeeping, commercial loan brokerage, and government procurement assistance. 

Strategic CFO Solutions is a one-person operation, with Doug providing personalized financial services to small businesses across various industries, with a niche in the construction and contracting sectors. His expertise helps small business owners improve financial management and scale operations, offering a level of service that goes beyond what was possible during his banking career. 

As an advanced business counselor with YWCA Oʻahu, Doug offers more comprehensive, tailored financial services, particularly to minority and women-owned businesses. This partnership has allowed him to expand his reach, providing critical financial guidance through the organization’s Enterprising Women of Color Business Center and Capital Readiness Program. His services help small business owners manage cash flow, understand financial health, and secure business loans and lines of credit. These efforts have empowered entrepreneurs to grow and stabilize their businesses for long-term success.

Doug’s dedication extends beyond his professional duties. He regularly volunteers at public events, offering financial insights to aspiring entrepreneurs. Committed to empowering the small business community, he continually enhances his skills by pursuing certifications to broaden his services. 

Looking ahead, Doug plans to expand Strategic CFO Solutions into a full-service business finance and accounting firm, adding tax planning, payroll services, and educational workshops. He also aims to increase public speaking and coaching opportunities, sharing his expertise with a broader audience. His goal is to help small businesses achieve long-term financial stability and growth through education and comprehensive financial support.
